AirPhysio is a handheld, drug-free Oscillating Positive Expiratory Pressure (OPEP) device designed to assist with mucus clearance and lung expansion. When you exhale through the device, a steel ball oscillates, creating vibrations and pressure that help loosen mucus from your airway walls so you can cough it out.

AirPhysio offers several models with different resistance levels for various needs:

  • AirPhysio for Average Lung Capacity
: For teenagers and adults with average lung function or mild respiratory conditions.
  • AirPhysio for Low Lung Capacity
: For individuals with weaker lung function due to age or conditions like COPD, bronchiectasis, and cystic fibrosis. It includes two ball bearings for interchangeable low and medium resistance.
  • Better Breathing Sport
(formerly AirPhysio Sport): For athletes and fitness enthusiasts who want to strengthen their lungs and improve performance. It features medium and high resistance settings.
  • Better Breathing Kids
(formerly AirPhysio for Children): For children aged 4–14 to help with developing lungs or respiratory challenges. It comes with low and medium resistance.
  • Disclaimer: How to use your AirPhysio device
  • For best results, use the device for about 5 minutes, one to two times daily.

  1. Relax and get ready. Sit with your back straight and take a deep breath into your lungs, holding it for 2–3 seconds.
  2. Exhale through the device. Place the AirPhysio mouthpiece in your mouth and exhale at a consistent, gentle pace for 3–5 seconds. The goal is to make the steel ball oscillate (vibrate), not to blow as hard as you can. Tilt the device until you feel the strongest vibrations in your chest.
  3. Clear your airways. After exhaling, you may feel mucus gather. If so, cough to expel it. Any remaining mucus can be swallowed as part of the body's normal process.
  4. Repeat the process. Use the device for up to 5 minutes at a time, taking a few deep, normal breaths in between sessions to avoid feeling lightheaded.
  1. How to clean your AirPhysio device

To ensure proper hygiene and prevent bacteria, you should clean your AirPhysio device after each use.

  1. Disassemble the device. Twist the clear top cap counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it from the body. You can then pull out the stainless steel ball and cone.
  2. Wash the parts. Use a solution of water with a mild soap or detergent to wash all the components. Avoid using chlorine bleach or chlorine-based detergents.
  3. Rinse and dry. Rinse all parts with tap water. Shake off excess water and place them on a drying rack or paper towel to air-dry completely.
  4. Reassemble. Once dry, put the device back together and store it in a clean, dry location.
  1. Effectiveness and reviews

AirPhysio User reviews for
indicate that many people find it effective for managing respiratory issues.
